MTB Clubs and Associations

• Bicyclists of Nevada County (BONC): In the Grass Valley/Nevada City area.
• Elk Grove BMX: Dedicated to bringing BMX racing to Elk Grove, California.
• Folsom-Auburn Trail Riders Action Coalition (FATRAC):  FATRAC has built nearly all the local MTB trails, including Salmon Falls and Auburn.  Check out their site to find upcoming rides and trailwork days. 
• Folsom Breakouts MTB Club:  You see them in their distinctive black-and-white striped jerseys on all the local trails.
• International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA):  The world's leading advocate for sustainable off-road cycling.  IMBA's web site contains a wealth of resources regarding off-road cycling issues.  SAMBA is an IMBA member club.
• NorCal High School MTB Racing League:  Provides a complete mountain bike riding and racing program for all interested public and private high school teams and individuals.
• Peak Adventures:  A program of the Associated Students of Cal State Sacramento offering classes on mountain bike riding and maintenance, as well as other adventure sports.
• Prairie City OHV Race Series:  Most popular MTB race series in the area, at the Prarie City OHV park in Folsom.
• Responsible Organized Mountain Peddlers (ROMP): in the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Sacramento Cyclocross:  Cyclocross is a form of racing which mixes road biking, mountain biking, and even BMX.  It has grown immensely in popularity over the past few years.  SAMBA plans to work more closely with Sacramento CX over the next few years, because the areas in which we are hoping to have legal riding could be ideal for cyclocross training.  The Cyclocross race season is in the fall. • Sac Dirt:  On line meet-up group for local mountain bike types.  
• Stockton Cyclists Are Always Bleeding (SCAAB): Winner of the best acronym award!
• Yolo United Mountain Bikers (YUM): Working on trails in the Berryessa area.  Stay tuned.
