Bush Family Business
If you want to know what makes the Bush family tick, read "American Dynasty: Aristocracy, Fortune, and the Politics of Deceit in the House of Bush." Les you think this another Liberal hack job, think again; author Kevin Phillips is a well-respected Republican-leaning political historian.
The book is a difficult read, but worth the trouble if you want to fully understand what created the monster known as "Dubya." Click below to purchase the tome if so inclined. The gist of Phillips' case against the Bushes is this:
The Bushes are blue-blood artistocrats in a country born on distrust of aristocracy. "W" is a product of Andover and Yale, not Midland or Crawford. The Bush and Walker clans make money the old fashioned way, by getting their country club buddies to finance their political campaigns and money losing businesses. Phillips calls this crony capitalism. Bushes always try to eliminate the estate tax, and always favor investment income over the income earned by the sweat and muscle of American labor. Distrust of aristocrats is a good thing!
The Bushes are multi-generational war profiteers. Bush family businesses helped arm both sides in World War I, and helped fund German rearmament prior to World War II. Bushes were intimately involved in Iran Contra, arming the Taliban against the Soviet Union, and arming Saddam Hussein. Why was W so convinced Saddam had WMD? Because daddy has the receipts. America keeps paying to fight wars against enemies who were originally armed by a Bush. How many more Americans will have to die? How many more billions will be squandered?
The Bushes have long-standing ties to the CIA. Dubya', his daddy, and his grandpappy, were all members of Skull & Bones, a Yale secret society and notorious CIA recruitment ground whose main membership criteria is blue blood and the ability to keep a secret. It's not just the stolen election in Florida... daddy helped orchestrate 1980's October Surprise, which brought home the Iran hostages only after the election of Reagan/Bush. The current White House is the most secretive in history. Bushes view elections as something to be won using a CIA manual.
