Sick of those stupid long-distance companies that call you during dinner and beg for your business.  Well, here's one long distance company that will never call you.  Instead of spending all of their revenues on overblown executive salaries and phone banks, they give it to charity.

Each year, Working Assets Long Distance donates a portion of its profits to charity.  That amounted to $5 million in 2000, and $25 million since 1985.  Customers get to vote annually on which charities get the money.

How is the price?  If you are a heavy long-distance user, you might be able to save a couple of bucks using one of the big companies.  However, if you are a moderate to light long-distance user, you will probably never notice a difference.
